Workshops for All

  • Teens & Middle School Ministry

    Friday, October 17th at 7pm

    The focus of this workshop is to learn God’s plan for human sexuality in today’s world, understand what influences the development of sexuality, and discover how to be faithful stewards our sexuality according to His intentions.

    Registration is not required.

  • Marrieds Ministry

    Saturday, October 18th, 10am-3:30pm

    Based on the book, The Art of Intimate Marriage: A Christian Couple’s Guide to Sexual Intimacy, by Jennifer Konzen, this workshop will focus on emotional, relational, and sexual intimacy. It will help couples learn to deal with some of the barriers to connection in their marriage. This is a practical workshop with coached communication exercises to help couples begin to talk about vital areas in their marriage.

    Registration is $20/person ($40/couple)

  • Campus & Impact Ministry

    Saturday, October 18th

    6pm for women, 7:30pm for men

    Our pursuit of purity happens in the context of our overall pursuit for holiness. God calls his people to be holy and this is a particular challenge for some in the area of sexuality. Understanding God’s plan for our sexuality is an important foundation to build our own plan to steward our sexuality as God intends.

    The registration cost is $5 per person.

Meet Dr. Jennifer Konzen

Dr. Jennifer Konzen has a psychology doctorate in marriage and family therapy, is a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a certified sex therapist. She lives in San Diego with her beautiful family. She has worked with couples, individuals, and families who come to see me for many different reasons. Many of those couples come to see me specifically for sexuality. She has been a parent educator, a marriage, parenting, and sexuality seminar and conference speaker, and yes, a Broadway show tunes performer (her undergraduate degree is in Musical Theater and Vocal Performance).

She has specialized training in certain areas of therapy as well. She is a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor, and has specialized training in eating disorders and play therapy. She is a certified Sex Therapist with the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists.

She is also a nationally award-winning researcher, an international speaker, and an adjunct professor at Alliant International University, San Diego, and Bethel Seminary, San Diego. She is the author of four books: The Art of Intimate Marriage, Redeemed Sexuality, The Ransomed Journey, and Graduated Intimacy: A Guided Intervention for Increasing Sexual Intimacy in Marriage.
